We ordered egg sandwiches, cinnamon toast and iced au lait. Everything was delicious. The service was great. We enjoyed the view and atmosphere while we waited. Best egg sandwich I’ve tasted while visiting Japan. I had a delightful, peaceful time at this spot. Definitely my favorite breakfasts while here in Japan.

Very chill and peaceful atmosphere right on the river. Excellent food. Can highly recommend the Italian toast. Coffee was also very nice and the staff are very polite and kind. Will definitely be back when I am back in Kyoto!

The food was delicious and affordable. We had the ham sandwich and bolognese; both only 1000¥ each. The atmosphere is nice and playing light jazz which is soothing. The cafe au lait setback the meal. It burnt my tongue and tasted like instant coffee. Would go again to try other sandwiches but just wouldn’t order the coffee.

Love this Cafe! Came to have breakfast on 28th Mar 2023 and the next morning again! We came at 07:30, there was no Q and was greeted with a warm welcome by the owner when we stepped into the cafe. There are 4 crew members in the cafe and they looked like a family; parents, son and daughter if I am correct. All of them were very friendly. Imagine having breakfast by the window with the Sakura blossom beside the Takase river, nice coffee and toast aroma that filled up the atmosphere… Everything in this cafe is very delicious! Price is very reasonable for the quality of the food. The level of service they provided well exceeded their charges; to move customers already seated to the table at the window when it is vacant after someone leaves so they can have a better view of the Sakura by the Takase river. Will definitely visit again when we are back in Kyoto!

Very beautiful Café with very delicious food! We had a breakfast set with tea/coffee and even something sweet afterwards (though the pastry selection was quite small that day). Everything was super good and surprisingly cheap! The ambience is very, very pretty and comfortable. Would definitely come again!

The place was great, experience and food as well. We ordered two sandwiches, one Egg on Mixed for two (careful! They’re equivalent to 2 sandwiches each). Omelette was fluffy and buttery, perfect, and all ingredients super fresh. Loved it!

This is a wonderful local specialty cafe for locals and strong coffee drinker. Also has lovely English tea variety and a wonderful Father and son owners who know their stuff. A must to relax and enjoy the jazz music too. Not wheelchair accessible though

Really quaint, Japanese-styled and special little cafe. Comes across like it is a family run business and the service is top-notch. Transitional drip coffee was gorgeous and gave us a big boost of caffeine ready to explore the city!
